The CFA Society of Seattle grants ten (10) scholarships to area candidates annually, with scholarships granted for both the fall and spring terms. Recipients pay only $220 of the registration & enrollment fees. CFA Institute preparation materials are included in the cost. Recipients who have already paid their fees will have all but $220 reimbursed to them by the CFA Institute.
The scholarship application is available online now. For the spring term, the deadline is December 20th and notification to recipients will be made mid-January. For the fall term, the deadline is August 15 and recipients will be notified in late August.
Scholarship candidates do not need to be members of the CFA Society of Seattle or CFA Institute. Students must hold a bachelor's degree prior and graduate students do not need to be full-time students to qualify for the scholarship.
Criteria is primarily need-based, though answers to application questions and scholastic grades will be considered. No interview is required. Preference is given toward Level I candidates.
Please contact the CFA Liaison at the CFA Society of Seattle with any questions.
